This workshop is part of a series of capacity development workshops organized as part of the IGF 2024 Youth Track. The multistakeholder organizing group, composed of the UN IGF Secretariat, several Youth IGFs and international youth-focused initiatives, works collaboratively to develop and implement the structure of the track. |
Through a dialogue between youth and more senior stakeholders, the Youth IGF Track will explore the importance of AI and capacity development, which is impacting everyone, including young people and future generations.
According to a UNESCO report, Generative AI has brought about one of the most significant transformations in education since the launch of the Education 2030 Agenda in 2015. It has the potential to make education more accessible and inclusive for learners with diverse needs. While generative AI offers exciting possibilities for education, responsible implementation and addressing challenges which are essential to maximize its benefits for Generation Z and Alpha learners, it also can bring harm. Initiatives that promote ethical use and empower educators will play a crucial role in shaping the future of education in this AI-driven era.
