The Internet Governance Forum Afghanistan (IGFA) was established in 2017. It aims at addressing issues of relevance for the respective community of Afghanistan. It brings diverse stakeholders under a single platform to discuss challenges and propose solutions.

15 years after the first IGF, in the midst of a generation, we set the clock for the next years to come. Poland declares its openness and readiness to bring all communities and interested parties together to jointly find the best way forward.

The UN SG’s Roadmap for Digital Cooperation puts forward important questions and presents key areas of interest concerning the future of Internet governance

The 16th annual IGF meeting will be hosted by the Government of Poland in Katowice from 6-10 December, under the overarching theme: Internet United.

IGF 2018

The thirteenth Annual Meeting of the Internet Governance Forum (IGF) was hosted by the Government of France at the headquarters of UNESCO in Paris from 12 to 14 November 2018. An interactive Schedule of the Meeting, under the title, 'Internet of Trust', was made available.

All IGF stakeholders are invited to give input on the 2018 annual meeting and programme cycle via the Taking Stock process, until 15 January 2019.

IGF 2015

The IGF held its 10th annual meeting on the theme, "Evolution of Internet Governance: Empowering Sustainable Development", in João Pessoa, Brazil, on 10 to 13 November 2015.

IGF focused on a range of sub-themes, including Cybersecurity and Trust; Internet Economy; Inclusiveness and Diversity; Openness; Enhancing Multistakeholder Cooperation; Internet and Human Rights; Critical Internet Resources and Emerging Issues.
