Photo Jean Paul PhillipotPhilippot Jean-Paul has been the General Administrator of the Radio Télévision Belge de la Communauté Française (RTBF) since February 2002. He obtained his diploma from the Solvay Business School (Université Libre de Bruxelles) and he had many consultancy jobs in several hospitals before he joined the office of Charles Picqué, Minister-President of the Brussels-Capital Region in 1989.
In 1996, he became Managing Director of Brussels’ public hospitals (IRIS). He held this position for six years before joining the RTBF and as such, the audiovisual world.
In 2002 Jean-Paul Philippot initiated a reorganisation plan of the RTBF called Plan Magellan. He is the President of the Régie Media Belge (RMB) and Executive Committee member of the EBU. He will be president of UER on the 1st January 2009.
