Katoh Masanobu is the Head of the digital society research institute (DSRI) at Center for International Economic Collaboration (CFIEC), and President of MK Next, Inc., a consultation firm.

Masanobu Katoh heads a Japanese thinktank’s digital policy unit. He also leads a consulting firm proving strategic and business advices and supports to both start-ups and large corporations.

Katoh spent over three decades with Fujitsu. At Fujitsu, after several overseas postings, he returned to Japan and became General Counsel leading IP and Legal groups. Other executive positions he took at Fujitsu include Chairman and CEO of Fujitsu Management Services of America in Silicon Valley, Senior Vice President of Fujitsu Laboratories in charge of developing company’s technology roadmap, and Executive Vice President of Fujitsu Research Institute.

Katoh has been involved in various policy and regulatory discussions surrounding Internet and digital society.

Katoh holds Law degrees from the University of Tokyo (LL.B.) and the University of Michigan (LL.M), and he is members of Washington D.C. and New York state bars.
