    Interventions

Ther won't be time to invite speakers if need be I can invite two speakers at least. Julia Kloiber is a free software advocate and a Mozilla fellow. She also manages the protoype fund in Berlin. She will explain the importance of building free and inclusive systems. Christian Grothoff is the lead developer of gnunet and GNU taler and he is a hand on internet professional. Gnunet is a proposition for a new and more secure internet.

    Diversity

I am Tunisian, Chritian is German, Julia is German. We all are members of the free software community. For my part, I have started a project in Tunisia called Bitdinar.

The workshop will deal with risks and privacy implications of digital currencies and open monetary protocols. Why it is important to build an internet-based monetary system, i.e. financial inclusion, and what are the emerging risks for the banks, and the privacy implications for the end users.

We all know each other as we collaborate since few months. We will set up a timing for each participant, and the presentation being the central part.

Emerging technologies like the internet, the web, and bitcoin brought up a new set of risks that are not necessarily understood and mitigated at deployment. The risks are for the companies themselves, and for the users of the technology (in certain cases the end users). I will cover in this talk the emergence of a bankless monetary system, solely relying on the internet, and assess the risks related to this new approach to banking.

    Online Participation

We will use jitsi.org if needed (open source skype). If it fail we will use mumble.
