Neophytos Papadopoulos began his career in the Design and Planning of Fixed Telecommunication Networks during his term with the Cyprus telecommunications incumbent CYTA (1994-2002), where he managed projects for the consolidation of the fixed circuit switched telecommunication network and its evolution towards voice and data convergence.
Since joining OCECPR as Director in October 2002, he has the responsibility of advising and assisting the Commissioner and drafting and implementing the strategy of the Office regarding the development of competition in the electronic communications and the postal services sector.
He holds BEng (Electrical Engineering & Electronics) and PhD (Digital Communications) degrees from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UK), and an MBA degree from the Cyprus International Institute of Management.
